Dave,
Angela Doe has asked me
to reply to you with an answer to your question concerning the amount
of funding given to Women's Aid in the last financial year.
I can speak in detail for
only those monies controlled by the Vale Royal Community Safety Partnership
- although to my knowledge and after consultation with other council
colleagues this would appear to be the only funding made available
to them during this period from within the council's full or partial
control.
In financial year April
2005 to March 2006, a one off grant of £4,000 was made to Vale
Royal Women's Aid (VRWA). The purpose of the grant was to help upgrade
the refuge provision provided by them in order to meet the government
national performance indicator BV 225.
