Programmes for male perpetrators
of domestic violence: at present only Gwent Probation are running
the IDAP (integrated domestic abuse programme) programme for males
who are found guilty of domestic violence by the Courts and who are
required to attend the programme as part of their sentence. This is
a Pan Gwent programme and as such covers the Torfaen area.
At present there are no
programmes for female perpetrators.
The male perpetrators programme
is funded by the Probation Service. At present Torfaen County Borough
Council does not provide any funding for any programme.

Thank you for your request
for information about how much funding was given to Women’s
Aid by Torfaen County Borough Council in the last full financial year.
The figure you want is
£78,500. It is not best classified as funding as it almost wholly
comprises payment for services provided in respect of housing related
support for women who have experienced domestic violence.
Hope this helps.
Peter
