Dear Mr Mortimer,

Thank you for your request for information regarding the number of support groups St. Edmundsbury Borough Council support (directly or indirectly) for both Male and Female victims of domestic violence.

The response I have received on your behalf is from the Officer who deals with "Crime and Disorder" I quote her response

"St. Edmundsbury Borough Council supports one group "SODA (Survivors of Domestic Abuse) (for female victims of abuse). They have received funding from the St. Edmundsbury Domestic Violence Forum (St. Edmundsbury is just one of the members of this group). There is no set funding given to any domestic violence group by St. Edmundsbury Borough Council - SODA made a bid and received £1,000 in 2005/6 from the Forum - no application has been made/received this year.

I trust this answers your enquire.
