St.Helens District Womens Aid is supported by the Supporting People budget. They were allocated £251,189 in 2005/06 and they received a further £16,000 from the Safer and Stronger Communities Team. Whist the service is predominately for women at risk of domestic violence, refuge places can be made available for men.
