Dear Mr Mortimer,
Thank
you for your request for information made under the Freedom of Information
Act in relation to funding for domestic violence support groups. The
information you require is as follows:
a)
We do not currently provide separate funding support for male victims
and their children.
b)
Shropshire County Council's Children and Young Peoples' Directorate
provides funding for one group specific to females and their children.
c)
For the female and children support group, the funding for the period
April 2006 - March 2007 was £14,000. On 1 July, the Council also
commenced a single support contract for children and young people, not
focused on female or male victim groups. The contract value is £90,000
over a 21 month period.
