Dear Mr. Mortimer,
With reference
to your specific request ‘how many help and support groups you
fund directly or indirectly for (A) male and (B) female victims of
domestic violence and their children and (C) how much each one receives
pa.’ Restormel Borough Council does not directly or indirectly
fund help and support groups in relation to male and female victims
of domestic abuse and their children.
However, Restormel
Borough Council is involved in many areas of work surrounding funding
and support for interventions related to domestic abuse issues at
both a local and county level for men, women and children. In particular
through the countywide Stronger and Safer Communities Fund we indirectly
fund domestic violence advocacy workers for victims of domestic violence
of both genders.
If you require
further information regarding the nature of the county funding I suggest
you contact Sarah Necke at Kerrier District Council on 01209 614199
or email sarah.necke@kerrier.gov.uk, Sarah is the county community
safety officer lead on domestic violence issues.
Yours sincerely
Carol Clarke
