Dear Mr Wiffen,

I am able to provide you with the following information.

(A) Plymouth currently has one perpetrator programme running in the City via 'AHIMSA'. The programme can accommodate 16 male perpetrators (in two groups of 8) over a 12 month programme. Probation also run the IDAP (Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme.)

(B) Plymouth does not currently run a perpetrator programme for females but a recent Neighbourhood Renewal Fund bid has been received and is being considered to fund a programme via Plymouth Women's Aid in conjunction with AHIMSA.

(C) At present no funding is provided by Plymouth City Council but funding will be made available in the event of a successful bid to the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund "pot".

Best wishes.

Dear Mr Mortimer

Following your request regarding the number of help and support groups funded directly or indirectly by Plymouth's Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership, I can give you the following information -

(A) We currently do not fund any organisations to provide support for male victims of domestic violence.

(B) We currently fund Plymouth Women's Aid to an amount of £110267 p.a.

Through a pending bid to the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, we are exploring doing more work with male victims, and both male and female perpetrators of domestic abuse but obviously this will be dependant upon a successful outcome of our bid.

I hope this information is of assistance to you. Should you require anything further, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Best wishes.
