We can only give the information on those agencies who receive direct
funding from LBN, many of the voluntary sector agencies receive funding
from a variety of sources, and we have no access to this information.
You may be able to get this information directly from the agencies
via there Annual report.
Newham Action Against Domestic
Violence: Young perpetrator project, both male and female young people
aged 10-17 yrs access this project. Funded by Childrens Fund (government
programme, and will cease in April 2008).
Newham Action against Domestic
Violence: Schools project accessed by both male and female aged 7-14
years Children & Families division fund £96.000 for both
projects. (funding ceases in 2008).
Newham Action against Domestic
Violence: £20.000 via SLA funded Children & Young People
services for advice, support, outreach services for both male &
female users. (funding for review in 2007).
Annchal Asian womens DV
services funded via SLA from Children & Young persons division
£40.000, for outreach, counselling and related services. (funding
reviewed in 2007).
East London Black Womens
Assn receive £20.000 to run support groups, counselling etc
for black women. Funded via SLA children & young people services
(funding reviewed in 2007) Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership
also funds the following projects:
* Perpetrator programme,
and East London Borough collaboration with Barking & Dagenham,
Waltham Forest and Newham, £35.000 funding for one year. (service
for male perpetrators where there is serious child abuse issues)
* Independent Domestic
Violence Advocate services to work in the court alongside specialist
DV court, £30.000. contract just awarded to Newham Action Against
Domestic Violence to work with both male and female victims. Funding
for one year then reviewed.
* Sanctuary Scheme, one
DV advisor seconded to run the Sanctuary/Target Hardenting scheme
for one year for both male and female victims of all Hate Crime not
just DV. £20.000k. As you can see most of the funding is short
term.
There is a DV & Hate
Crime team located in Crime & ASB services which is fully funded
by the Council.
