North East Lincolnshire Council does not directly provide domestic violence perpetrator programmes, these programmes are provided by the Probation service who run the national accredited Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme, this is aimed at male perpetrators of domestic violence who are subject to a community orders or on a prison licence. Currently there are no programmes aimed at female perpetrators.

Dear Mr Mortimer, please note the following information in response to your request:

The Council did not provide any financial support in 2005/06 in respect of male victims of domestic abuse.

With regard to female victims, the Council provided grant funding of £14,420 to Women’s Aid and also made payments totalling £800 for training courses.

The Government’s Supporting People Initiative also provides support for homeless people including women fleeing domestic violence. The Council paid Women’s Aid £133,401.94 in 2005/06 which was funded from government grant.

I trust this information meets with your requirements.

Yours sincerely,

Rob Walsh
