Dear Mr Wiffen
In response to your request
addressed to Derbyshire County Council which they have forwarded to
us I would inform you that North East Derbyshire District Council
do not currently run any domestic violence perpetrator programmes.
This information has been
provided by Chris Wilbourn who is our Homeless Strategy Officer. He
has asked whether you would be kind enough to contact him as he would
be interested in having a discussion with you about domestic abuse
as this is one of the areas he is working on. His direct line is 01246
217596 and his e mail address is chris.wilbourn@ne-derbyshire.gov.uk
Many thanks

Dear Sir,
Please find attached
our response to your recent request.
Please see each
of the appropriate years of statistics you requested. Please be aware
that our system logs the number of occasions therefore 1 person may
have been a victim a number of times – the figures do not therefore
indicate the number of offenders.

Subject: Official request for information by Men's Aid
Dave,
We currently only fund
one organisation, and that is Women's Aid, who we are for this year
funding with £14,000 for 12 months outreach work covering both
male and female referrals.
This is a temporary measure,
and for 2007/8 onwards there will be a county based arrangement, managed
by Derbyshire County Council and no doubt funded through the Derbyshire
Local Area agreement.
I expect you appreciate
this is a complicated area, in that we, as Community Safety Partnerships,
are interested in elements which reduce the abuse - crime and disorder
- which is our remit, whilst other elements of the LAA, and agencies,
such as County Council and PCT have more interest in support elements.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Mike Owen
Community Safety Officer
