We have consulted with our Community Services section and their response is as follows:

All the help and support for victims of domestic abuse in Mid Sussex is available both to men and women

There are currently two domestic violence drop-ins for Mid Sussex residents:

Haywards Heath - The Yews, 55 Boltro Road
Tuesdays 12.30-14.30

Burgess Hill - Help Point, 96 Church Walk
Tuesdays 12.00-14.00

A service for East Grinstead will be starting in September 2006, so then all the major towns in Mid Sussex will be covered.

For 2006-07 Mid Sussex CDRP will be contributing £5,500 to the county's domestic violence team in support of the above services and other domestic violence initiatives. Each CDRP in the county puts in a similar amount.

Other towns in West Sussex that offer domestic violence drop-ins are: Bognor Regis, Chichester, Crawley, Horsham, Littlehampton and Worthing.

If you have any queries concerning the information we have sent to you please do not hesitate to contact us.
