Lisburn City Council,
through its Community Support Plan, provides a wide range of assistance
to support the development and sustainability of local communities.
In 2004 the Council launched a pilot Community Support Grants programme
and, after the scheme was reviewed in 2005, continues to provide annual
funding to local groups under this scheme. Public advertisements are
placed in local newspapers inviting all local community/voluntary
sector groups based in Lisburn City Council area to apply for funding
through the scheme.
This year Community
Services did not receive any funding applications within the Lisburn
City from groups who work solely helping and supporting victims of
domestic violence. We did, however, fund a number of community/voluntary
sector groups which we think may be involved as some level in supporting
and helping victims of domestic violence. We have never researched
the funding percentaged to this activity and consequently cannot provide
the figures you have requested under Freedom of Information.
I am sorry that
we are unable to provide the particular information you have requested.
Yours sincerely
