Your request for information
has now been considered and the information requested is outlined
below in the order you asked the questions.
1 There have been no perpetrator
courses run by Leicestershire County Council in 2006/07. However during
2006/2007 perpetrator courses will be run for men by Leicester, Leicestershire
and Rutland probation service. These courses include Leicestershire
men sentenced by the court. We do not have details of the number of
courses run by the Probation Service but if you would dike to contact
them I am sure they may be able to help. The Probation Service contact

2 There are no courses
available for women perpetrators of Domestic Violence in Leicestershire.
3 Leicestershire County
Council will not run any courses in 2006/07, but is funding the probation
service (using Government Office for the East Midlands and Local Area
Agreement funds) to run a Saturday course for court ordered men. This
is because many of the court ordered men have difficulties attending
courses run in the week. The amount granted to the probation service
in 2006/07 is £9,380.
