Dear Mr Mortimer
Highland Council
do not fund any groups established solely for the support of male
victims of domestic violence. We do directly support Woman’s
aid groups for both ‘outreach’ and ‘refuge’
and which are established to support females and children only. Details
of the funding provided in 2005/2006 are provided in the table below.
Please note that
for outreach and refuge provision there are three funding streams
for the costs above, The Scottish Executive Homelessness Resources
Grant, , Supporting People Funding and funding from the Council’s
Housing and Social Work Services.
