the information below was supplied by Neighbourhood Services in Greenwich
Council. I hope this is helpful to you.
Summary of funding from
Neighbourhood Services;
1. Supporting People funding
of £444,098 per annum is provided to services to women and children
leaving domestic violence.
This covers funding for:
- 28 refuge spaces and 12 units for move on from refuge (2nd stage)
and 16 units of floating support. These services are provided through
Greenwich Women's
Aid, Refuge and ASRA.
- A community alarm service for 4 units managed by Housing For Women.
2. Voluntary Sector Grant
Funding is provided to:
-Victim Support Greenwich
to deliver Sanctuary Scheme to assist victims to remain in the home.
Is available to women and men. £17763 (Neighbourhood
Renewal provide match funding for Sanctuary of £15300)
-Greenwich Women's
Aid for Children's Services and other additional refuge service costs
£61,060.
-ASRA Housing
Association £13,195 for children's service.
-Greenwich Association
of Disabled People provide an Advocacy Service for disabled people
(men and women) affected by hate crime and DV: £20,300p.a.
