Subject: Freedom of Information Request.

Hello Michael

In response to your request for information in accordance with the Feedom of information Act, I would supply the following data:

For the past two years the Durham County domestic violence strategy group have facilitated a voluntary programme for male perpetrators. It is a 34 week programme which runs once a year, and is open to any male perpetrator in the county. In Easington District, men who identify themselves as domestic violence perpetrators and request help are referred to the county course. Funding for the programme is provided by the County Strategy group, via Rachel Green, County DV Coordinator.

North Tees Women's Aid also facilitate voluntary male perpetrator courses. They take referrals from their catchment areas which includes the area of Peterlee within Easington District. It is a 30 week rolling programme, funded by NTWA.

There are no female perpetrator courses.

Easington District Council do not currently provide financial assistance for any perpetrator courses.

I hope this answers your query, please let me know if you need anything further

Kind Regards
Mary Readman
