Dear Mr. Mortimer,
East Dorset District Council
has a joint contract, funded with Christchurch Borough Council, to
employ Bournemouth Churches Housing Association to operate an Outreach
Service for providing advice and assistance to female victims of Domestic
Violence. This Council's payment under that contract is £12,740
per annum.
The District Council is
part of a County-wide Strategy for dealing with Domestic Violence.
The Strategy has recognised a gap in support provision for male victims
of Domestic Violence and work is in hand to try to address this gap.
