The City of Durham Council does not fund any support groups directly.

Through the Safer Stronger Communities Fund allocation to the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, some £12, 500 is allocated to fund a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker.

The Outreach Worker works with support groups on a rolling programme basis for female victims. She also works with a female survivors group and works on an individual basis with both male and female victims.
