Dear Mr Mortimer
I am writing to
confirm that the Council has now completed its search for the information
which you requested. The information is as follows:
The Crime &
Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP), provide funding for the local
delivery of domestic violence services. This funding comes from a
grant that the Home Office provide. In 2006/07, £3,000 has been
allocated for the delivery of local services, as part of this the
cost of venue hire for the weekly domestic violence drop in and the
bi-monthly men only domestic violence drop will be paid for.
The CDRP has also
given £6,000 to the West Sussex Domestic Violence Development
Team (WSDVDT) for 06/07, one of the developments that the WSDVDT will
be implementing in 06/07 is a domestic violence advocate worker to
work in the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) at Crawley Hospital. This post
will provide help, advice and support to anyone who discloses domestic
violence/abuse to staff at the MIU.
Yours sincerely
