Thank you for
your request for information and I reply as follows: -
The Crime and
Disorder Reduction Partnership, which Allerdale is a key player, puts
some funding (ie approx £5,000) in to the West Cumbria Domestic
Violence Project - named the 'Freedom Programme' - it's purpose is
to support both victims and perpetrators of domestic violence and
runs 6 week courses. Contact details are Carole Launder, 3 Cape Road,
Seaton - tel 603927.
Secondly there
is a Domestic Violence group run locally by Debbie Finlayson of Impact
Housing, that group inputs in to a County group working to reducing
PSA targets at a County level. That group has a total budget of £14,000
per annum of which the Freedom Programme gets a contribution each
year - sometimes £10,000 sometimes less dependent on what other
things they are looking at.
I hope this is
the information you require, but do not hesitate to contact me if
you wish to clarify anything further.
