Funding to Colchester & Tendring Women’s Refuge 2006/07: Core Funding £6,771.15

This is ongoing funding, applied for on an annual basis and represents a 2.5% increase from last year.

Project

· Provides support, advice and refuge for abused women and their children. Residents normally stay in the refuge between 3 and 6 months. However, if housing is unavailable it could be as long as 1 year.

Strategic Priority

Project Funding £15,200.00

This is ongoing funding, applied for on an annual basis and represents the amount applied for.

Project

· Provides outreach service for women who choose not to, or are unable, to leave their homes, but who need support, advice and information enabling them to make choices for themselves and their children.

· Outreach work targets all women in the community including those in ‘hard to reach’ groups such as women with mental health needs, substance and alcohol abuse problems and disabled women.
