Hello

Further to your recent e mail:

Within the Chester-le-Street area there is very little in the way of services for any person fleeing Domestic Abuse. This is the same for any group(s) of people women, men, BME communities etc.

I am the Housing Options Manager within the Chester-le-Street area and am working towards developing services in this area. I am working with Derwentside DV Forum to replicate the Services they currently provide in the Chester-le-Street area. This is very much in its early stages however will hopefully start to develop in the near future.

This project will be initially started and funded through grants obtained from organisations that fund charities i.e., Big Lottery, Northern Rock. It is then hoped that monies from statutory agencies will be obtained to run the scheme in the future.

I hope this information is of help however should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks
