Subject: Your information request

Dear Mr Mortimer,
I am pleased to provide the following information about the groups the Council funds who work, wholly or in part, with victims of domestic violence:

1. The Council supports Women's Aid, a group which assists women and children who are the victims of domestic violence through the Council's community grants scheme. The amount of that funding in 2005/06 was £5600.

2. The Council supports Victim Support which assists all victims of crime through the Council's community grants scheme. The amount of that funding in 2005/06 was £5120.

3. The Council supports the post of a Domestic Violence Co-ordinator through the Charnwood Community Safety Partnership. The Partnerships Domestic Violence Forum has recognised that domestic violence is an issue which affects men as well as women. The amount of funding in 2005/06 was £4091.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Hopkins
