Dear Mr Mortimer
Thank you for
your email dated 27 June 2006.
Having checked
with the appropriate units within Belfast City Council, I can advise
you that the Council does not fund, either directly or indirectly,
any domestic violence help and support groups. Accordingly, I can
confirm that the Council does not hold the information you have requested.
I should explain
that the functions administered by Council’s in Northern Ireland
are different from those in other parts of the United Kingdom. I would,
therefore, suggest that you contact the Department of Health, Social
Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS). Their address is Castle Buildings,
Stormont, Belfast. Personal health in Northern Ireland is also administered
by a number of Boards and Trust. The DHSSPS should be able to provide
you with contact details for these various bodies.
If you have any
queries about this email, please contact me.
Yours sincerely
Robert Corbett
