Dear Michael
In answer to your request for information, there are the following
Domestic Violence programmes within or funded by the Council -
Female victims of violence only
Bath Womens Aid - £43,991 + £22,000 rent concession +
£65,518 Supporting People Grant
Purpose of funding -
To enable Bath Women's Aid to continue to employ staff to operate
the facility of a Refuge in Bath for the benefit of Victims of Domestic
Violence and their children.
The Libra Project run by Bath Churches HA. £10,275 offers a
refuge for women unable to take up the refuge above.
Male & female
The New Way which gets £25k is designed to support perpetrators
of Domestic Violence of either gender. This is run by the council
and in general will and does deal with female perpetrators and uses
the same approach with a variation on how we deal with the origins
of this behaviour ie not stemming from traditional power relationships.
I hope this is helpful.
