The authority
administers the Safer and Stronger communities fund. This fund does
not offer financial support to domestic violence groups. It does however
fund a post which works with victims, especially the people who are
subject to the most repeat offences of domestic violence. Which from
memory has previously included male victims. This allocation is £39,972
this year. The request was only of the LBB but our Police partners
also fund domestic violence staff out of their funding streams. Both
the Police and the Local Authority work closely together to tackle
domestic violence against persons of any sex or sexual orientation.
