Dear Mr Wiffen

The East London Probation run a “court ordered” perpetrator programme of all boroughs in the region this is for both female and male perpetrators of domestic violence.

Barking and Dagenham are in the process of setting up a “non-court ordered” perpetrator programme which will be launched in February. It will be run by the Domestic Violence Intervention Project currently providing this service in other boroughs.

For the year 2007/08 the Local Authority are contributing 35K to this programme, this will be reassessed next year.

If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours Sincerely

Janet Ryan
