Dear Mr Wiffen,

There are as yet no specific accredited programmes for male or female perpetrators of domestic abuse in Scotland. However, the Criminal Justice Service in Argyll and Bute does offer a modular cognitive behavioural programme focussed on relationship violence and abuse, however this programme does not attract funding . The individuals involved in this program, whether male of female, are subject to a Court Order, the work agenda is tailored to the needs of the individual and based upon the assessed risk of re-offence,the potential for harm and the details and circumstances around the index offence. I am informed that we are currently attempting to obtain suitable accreditation for this course, which would potentially mean obtaining funding for it in a larger arena- however, this is not yet in place

Yours Sincerely
